Flowers for a Tea occasion
By Grand Master Fuden-an Sojitsu
Vase: red bucket, predilection of Enshu
Every year in this season I use one of my favorite flowers, the Iris, in flower arrangements. On occasion, I use a flower bowl to leave a more dignified impression.
When using the Iris in three stocks as in this photo, the longest one with a flower is placed in the back, the moderately mature one is placed before it and the one which has yet to blossom is placed in front.
